Weight Loss Surgery Daily Inspiration For July 6, 2008

Learn to recognize true friends.

A true friend may be hard to recognize at first. Many obese people have had inferiority issues their entire lives, and hence sometimes let others treat them in ways that are negative, even abusive. Abusive, unkind people are like unsightly weeds in our gardens.

A true friend builds you up, makes you stronger, and supports your healthy growth. True friends are like water on a thirsty flower bed. They feed your soul.

Action for the day: Spend some time thinking about your friends today. Do they support your healthy growth? It may be time to "pluck some weeds."
