Weight Loss Surgery Daily Inspiration For July 13, 2008

Express yourself.

Throughout your life, you have used food to deal with your emotions. Years spent "stuffing" your feelings with food have probably diminished your ability to express yourself in other ways--like crying.

Tears, for most, serve as a welcome release in a crisis. Perhaps you want to cry, but seem to have forgotten how. You don't know what to do with the pain now that you can't overeat.

Action for the day: Today, practice releasing any negative emotions in a healthy way. If crying won't work, try hitting something. Yell into a pillow, call a friend (don't yell at your friend, though), exercise a bit. Find what works for you.
