Weight Loss Surgery Support:
Daily Inspiration for March 9, 2011
Katie Jay, MSW
Take small steps.
Visualize the dream come true. You are standing in front of the mirror at your goal weight filled with a sense of accomplishment and purpose. But all big dreams begin with little steps.
To stay on track to reach your dream, try using a daily checklist to monitor your new lifestyle. The checklist is a great tool to keep track of your vitamins, supplements, food choices, exercise, water intake, and mood. Over time, you'll see small victories on your scale and in your life. Maybe you'll fit into an airplane seat or be able to help your kids build a snowman. Let those little victories encourage you to keep using your checklist. Each day that you stay on track brings you closer to the realization of your dream.
Action for the day: Are you using a checklist? If not, today is a good day to start.
