Weight Loss Surgery Support:
Daily Inspiration for August 10, 2010
Katie Jay, MSW
Rescue yourself.
Do you sometimes feel like you just want someone to come into your life and solve all your problems? A new relationship to make you happy, a new boss to replace the current micro-manager, a new neighbor who will go for a walk with you in the evenings.
You can choose to stay trapped in your disappointing situation. Or, you can take action -- seek out new friends, find a way to make exercise fun (even if you have to do it alone), take a risk. You can refuse to slip into self pity, learn to be forgiving, or work on expressing your feelings in a healthy way. The sky's the limit.
Action for the day: Today, think of ways you can rescue yourself.
