Coaching | Would you like to get away and focus . . .
|
Wouldn't it be a relief to get away, focus on yourself, and renew your commitment to wellness?
| |
Would you like to get away and focus on your own needs for a change?
Attention:
Renewal Weekend 2008 is FULL, but we have a waiting list! Just click on this link and you will be added to the waiting list:

If you're like me, when you first scheduled
your weight loss surgery, you didn't spend a lot of time thinking about the strings attached.
| You probably focused on the knowledge that shortly after the surgery, your life would be radically different -- forever. And that gave you hope. Something you had not experienced in a long time. | |
|
Thank you to our sponsors for this event, including:
Bariatric Advantage, who is the market leader in pre and post operative micronutrient replacement products for the weight loss surgery patient. | |
Deep down you understood that weight loss surgery alone would not be enough to combat your genetics and a lifetime's worth of emotional eating, food addiction, and excess weight -- but you had to start somewhere, right?
Months or years later, your weight loss experience changed and the fear of weight regain set in. Maybe you hit a plateau. Maybe your hunger came back with a vengeance. Maybe you started to regain weight, and the slippery slope that comes with that has turned your hope into fear. Maybe you struggle with carbohydrate or sugar addiction.
Do the demands and stresses of your day-to-day life make it
difficult for you to focus inward and take care of yourself?
Challenging jobs, children, elderly parents, household chores -- and more -- continually pull you in opposing directions. That means by the time you put yourself on the caretaking list you're too exhausted or depressed (or both) to really take care of yourself, including your WLS needs.
It's time to make time for yourself.
It's time to reclaim the hope you experienced those many months ago.
It's time to find joy again.
It will take some dedicated YOU time; and I urge you to carve out this special time for yourself at Renewal Weekend 2008.

What is Renewal Weekend 2008?
Renewal Weekend 2008 is a SMALL, intimate retreat (only 22 people!) for women who have had weight loss surgery of any kind, and who are at least one year out from surgery. If you are feeling challenged by the demands of the WLS lifestyle, Renewal Weekend is for you!
This retreat will be facilitated by me, Katie Jay (click here to learn a little more about me), and will also include discussions led by other professionals on critical topics. View the preliminary agenda here!
Your weekend will be a time of introspection and an opportunity to begin a new transformation. Be prepared to laugh, learn, and connect with kindred spirits; let go of old beliefs; and develop a concrete plan of action you can take with you when you go home -- along with the support of the new friends you have made.
Ocean Isle is a tranquil and beautiful ocean-front setting that calms body and soul; and it is the perfect place to get away from the world's demands -- so you can focus on YOU.
Where and when will this event take place?

This is the beach-front house at Ocean Isle Beach! See the private heated pool in the foreground?

We'll gather from October 3 _ 5, at Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

To qualify to attend the retreat, you must be a woman who is at least one year out from your weight loss surgery.
This retreat has been designed especially for women who have had WLS, but who are struggling with emotional eating, food addiction, and even weight regain.
Many factors contribute to the challenges some of us face after WLS, and this retreat is intended to be a safe, nonjudgmental place for you to come and focus on yourself, and to discover your best path to peace with food, the scale, your body, and your life.
How much does Renewal Weekend 2008 cost?
